Transserra

The Transserra route takes you to explore the heights of the majestic Serra da Estrela. We begin our ascent through its impressive landscapes, heading for a visit to the largest lake created at altitude and Portugal’s highest village, Sabugueiro. Next, we’ll explore the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, one of the richest places in climatic phenomena, with a remarkable frequency of rain, snow, hail and dew.

Guarda City

On this route, we propose a visit to Portugal’s highest city, Guarda, and the historic village of Belmonte. In Guarda, we’ll climb the keep, where the 360-degree panorama from the top of the ‘highest tower in the highest city’ reveals breathtaking views. The city of Guarda is an indispensable stop, with the beauty of the Gothic and Manueline style that marks its Cathedral, as well as streets, squares and walls that preserve the charm of a medieval city.

Marialva, Penedono, Sernancelhe, Senhora da Lapa Sanctuary and Trancoso

On this route, you’ll visit Marialva, Penedono, Sernancelhe, the Senhora da Lapa Sanctuary and Trancoso. Each place reveals the history and authentic beauty of the region, providing an unforgettable experience.

Penedono

In Penedono, you can visit the imposing Medieval Castle, a fortification that dates back to the 11th century and offers breathtaking views over the town. You can also explore the historic centre, with its traditional stone houses, and the Church of São Pedro, which houses valuable elements of sacred art. Penedono is a place where history and landscape meet in perfect harmony.

Douro cruise

On this route, we’ll start with a visit to the historic village of Sortelha, one of Portugal’s most beautiful and oldest towns. Mangualde, Viseu and Penalva do Castelo

On this route, you’ll visit Mangualde, Viseu and Penalva do Castelo. Mangualde is characterised by its natural beauty and the tranquillity of its streets. Viseu, with its well-preserved historic centre, stands out for its art, architecture and imposing cathedral. Penalva do Castelo, with its traditions and medieval castle, offers a true immersion in local history.

Salamanca and Castillo Rodrigo

About 150 kilometres from Celorico da Beira is the city of Salamanca, a World Heritage Site. This Spanish city is one of the richest in monuments from the Middle Ages, with several museums, squares and universities. In Ciudad Rodrigo, you’ll take a tour of the castle and its imposing walls. you’ll also have the chance to taste the region’s main delicacies, experiencing the local gastronomy.

Almeida, Castelo Rodrigo, Serra da Marofa and Pinhel

On this route, the Serra da Marofa viewpoint is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic with a breathtaking view. Next, we’ll visit the historic village of Almeida, known for its walls and strong heritage. On the way back, you can also choose to visit Castelo Mendo, another village full of history and charm. If you prefer to sample the local cuisine, we suggest the Transmontano Restaurant in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, where you can savour the region’s typical dishes.
